West Hartford, Connecticut
Spanish Colonial Revival Garden

A young couple from New York had recently moved into a one-of-a-kind national historic landmark home in West Hartford. They hired PWG to create a garden that complimented the house’s remarkable Spanish colonial architecture. The ensuing garden installations combined a palette of mediterranean-climate plants that work in the northeast (lavender, torch lilies, etc.) with arid-feeling native plants (eastern prickly pear, yuccas, vertical junipers, etc.) to mimic the feel of a Spanish colonial garden.
